About the Share Shed
The Jarrahdale Share Shed is a community-driven initiative hosted by the Jarrahdale Community Collective (JCC) right outside the Bruno Gianatti Hall (JCC HQ) on Munro Street.
It acts as a 2/47, non-commercial hub where locals can freely share homegrown abundance and reduce waste.
What you’ll find there: Surplus homegrown fruit and vegetables, seedlings, seeds, fresh eggs, and jars of homemade condiments or jams.
How it works: There is no money exchanged, and there is no requirement for direct reciprocation or acknowledgment. You can drop off your backyard gluts or simply take fresh food if you need it.
The purpose: Beyond minimizing food waste, it is designed to support isolated or senior residents by ensuring access to fresh food while keeping the community deeply connected through a simple act of sharing.
